Hack to Happiness
Back in the day, psychology was all about the big problems like abuse, anxiety, poverty — you know, the “tough” stuff. People care about that stuff nowadays too because we still need a problem-solving squad but, some people are trying to be more upbeat about things. In the early 2000s, a dude named Martin Seligman, along with his crew, was like, “Why don’t we stop caring about that sad stuff and actually try to figure out what makes people happy?” They decided to call this positive psychology, you know, ‘cause it’s all about the good vibes. They thought that people don’t just get happy randomly, but people get happy when they live a cool, meaningful life. So, they use science to figure out how everyone can live a “cool, meaningful life” where we can use our talents and live life with meaning beyond just ourselves. (‘cause that’s kinda selfish, you know).

I liked how you used slang in your blog and that it was conversational.
ReplyDeleteI like how easily you incorporated modern slang into your reiteration, as well as how you kept it relevant to the passage/didn’t add anything unnecessary.
ReplyDeleteHey! I loved how used looser adjectives and gave a more colloquial aspect to your writing.
